Installation Note 33349: Incorrect permissions on directories in SASĀ® 9.2 installation
If the userid that installs SAS 9.2 TS1M0 on a UNIX system has a restrictive umask setting, the resulting SAS installation may not be accessible by other users on the system. This is because the directories under SASHOME are not being assigned correct permissions during the installation process.
To correct this problem without reinstalling, use the UNIX chmod command to add the necessary permissions
to the affected directories. The following command (substituting the correct installation directory path for
!SASHOME) should set the necessary permissions:
find !SASHOME -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If the userid that installs SAS 9.2 TS1M0 has a restrictive umask setting, the resulting installation may not be accessible by all users on the system. This is because the directories under SASHOME are not assigned correct permissions during the installation process.
